The Incident
On October 21, 2021, Ali Abulaban shot and killed his estranged wife, Ana Abulaban, and her friend, Rayburn Cardenas Barron, in their apartment in San Diego. On the day of the murders, Ali allegedly heard Ana and Rayburn talking through the listening device. He then went to the apartment and shot Rayburn three times before shooting Ana in the head. After the shootings, Ali called his mother and confessed to the killings, even sending her a photograph of the victims' bodies.
Legal Proceedings
