This auction is for a letter from the 17-year-old Chardon High School shooter Thomas Michael Lane III, more commonly known as TJ Lane. On 2/27/2012, TJ Lane open fired in the school cafeteria during breakfast. He would shoot six fellow students, ultimately killing three. TJ Lane was arrested shortly after the incident. On 2/26/2013, TJ Lane plead guilty to the charges and was sentenced to three life without parole terms on 3/19/2013. During his sentencing TJ Lane removed his button-down to reveal a t-shirt with the word "KILLER" written on it. He made the statement, "This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. Fuck all of you," at sentencing. On 9/11/2014, TJ Lane escaped from the Ohio state prison he was housed in but was captured six hours later.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is one page on a small paper sheet and signed, "TJ." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 4/7/2015.
