A plan was devised for Connearney to travel from Massachusetts to the Capital Region to engage in sexual contact with the minor.
Arrest and Legal Proceedings: On May 5, 2022, Connearney drove to a prearranged location in Columbia County, New York, where he was encountered and arrested by law enforcement officials. He was charged with traveling across state lines with the intent to engage in a sexual act with a minor.
