This auction is for a letter from executed Texas convicted murderer Larry Ray Swearingen. On 12/8/1998, Larry Swearingen was seen leaving a college campus with a 19-year-old woman. Her body was found 1/2/1999, sexually assaulted, with torn pair of pantyhose around her neck. Larry Swearingen was arrested on 12/11/1998. The evidence against Larry Swearingen was extremely weak, but the authorities were sure they had their man. He was convicted and sentenced to death. Even with DNA evidence excluded Larry Swearingen as the rapist, with a host of other arguments. Despite all this, the State of Texas executed Larry Swearingen on 8/21/2019. He was 48... and most likely innocent.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: There are two missives on one sheet, dated 7/2/2009, and each signed, "Larry." The original mailing envelope, which could be in better shape, is postmarked 7/3/2009.
