Abdullah Ali arrives at the federal courthouse in Norfolk, Va., on

charges for the April 1, 2010 attack on the USS Nicholas, a
Norfolk-based frigate, off the coast of Africa.

being judged on the basis of something I did not commit,” said
Gabul Abdullah Ali.
His uncle opened his home to the young man but soon began having
doubts about Chester. The uncle later told investigators that while
traveling in Michigan he had observed his nephew, then 20, place his
