Jerold Koedatich is a convicted serial killer who abducted and
murdered two young women, Amie Hoffman and Deirdre O'Brien, in Morris
County, New Jersey, in late 1982. Koedatich had a violent criminal
history prior to these murders, including the armed robbery and
murder of his roommate in Florida, for which he served time in
prison. He was arrested in January 1983 after being linked to the
murders through witness descriptions and evidence; he was initially
