Description

This auction is for a letter from deceased Pennsylvania "Unicorn Killer" Ira Samuel Einhorn (5/15/1940 - 4/3/2020). On 9/9/1977, Ira Einhorn beat his ex-girlfriend to death. He kept her body in his home, not being discovered by the police until 3/28/1979. Ira Einhorn was charged but was able to skip bail where he remained at large for 20 years, living in Europe. Ira Einhorn was eventually captured and extradited by to the United States. He would be convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison on 10/17/2002. Ira Einhorn died of natural causes on 4/3/2020. He was 79.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is three pages on two sheets, dated 5/12/2006, and is signed, "Ira." In the letter Einhorn discusses his life in Europe with his new wife. The writing does appear lighter in the scan. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 5/15/2006.
