The Canadian RCMP also classifies 764 as an "ideological violent extremist network", and it has been characterized as a "satanic neo-nazi cult" by multiple sources. The network is most present on Discord and Telegram and usually targets children ages 8 to 17, particularly marginalized children or those suffering from mental health challenges. 764 was founded in 2021 by Bradley Cadenhead, a teenager from Stephenville, Texas, the group derives its name from the town's ZIP code.
“The evidence presented at the punishment hearing showed that the defendant possessed images of young children not only being sexually abused, but also choked, beaten, suffocated and grievously injured,” Smith said. “The defendant used these images to coerce others into mutilating themselves, including carving his screen name into their bodies, and harming animals.” One particularly disturbing video retrieved from Cadenhead’s computer showed one of his followers killing her hamster.
“There was this 13-year-old girl. On stream, she cut her entire body for them. She would do this sometimes daily. They called them cut shows. They would have her cut things into herself, and then they would allow others to tell her what to cut into herself. This is the same girl that one leader had convinced to kill her kittens on stream.”

Cadenhead’s legal journey included an appeal process, which he ultimately chose to dismiss voluntarily. On November 2, 2023, the Eleventh Court of Appeals in Texas granted his motion for voluntary dismissal of the appeal after confirming that both Cadenhead and his counsel had agreed that this decision served his best interests.
