Description

This auction is for a Ku Klux Klan uniform, handmade by Darline Carver. The Ku Klux Klan, commonly referred to as the KKK or the Klan, is a Christian-based white supremacy group. The organization has gone through many changes over the years since it's conception in 1865 and has been attributed to act of hate-driven violence, including murder and school bombings. Current members of the Klan often protest links to historical violence, citing they are a fraternal order putting God, race, and country above all. The Klan was an interictal part of United States of America history and remains active to this day.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The robe comes in three pieces. The robe measure 28" along the waistline and 48" in length. The hood is 11" across. This robe was hand-tailored by Darline Carver, the late wife of prominent Klansman Daniel Carver. There is a small stain of some sort on the inside of the left shoulder. It could be mud? It could be a water stain? I'm not sure what that is. I didn't want to wash it. Message me with any questions you might have. Thanks for having a look-see.
