This auction is for a letter from executed serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin (4/13/1950 - 11/20/2013). Franklin was a Christian who went on a series of violent crime sprees all over the United States. Most notable was the failed assassination attempt on Mr. Larry Flint of Hustler Magazine. After a series of murder convictions, it was Missouri that was tasked with housing Franklin and ultimately executing him. Franklin was executed on 11/20/2013. He was 63.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is three pages on three sheets, dated 10/2002, and is signed, "Joseph." Franklin has enclosed a deposit slip with the letter. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 10/22/2002. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
