Description

This auction is for a letter from California "Trash Bag Killer" Patrick Wayne Kearney. Between 1962 and 1977, Kearney murdered at least 21 young men and boys in southern California. He would kill his victims and then have sex with their lifeless bodies. Eventually Kearney was linked to a murder victim and would ultimately be arrested and charged. He plead guilty to escape the death penalty and was sentenced to multiple life terms. Kearney is believed to have additional victims.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is four pages on three sheets, dated 3/25/1998, and is signed, "Pat." In the letter Kearney discusses Nicolas Claux, corresponding with inmates, and includes a letter from another pen friend. Kearney has drawn a little happy face on the third page. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 3/31/1998. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board. Message me with any questions you might have.
