Description

This auction is for a letter from deceased Washington serial killer Joseph Kondro. In 1997, Kondro was in jail facing child rape and molestation and rape charges in relation to three young girls ages seven, nine, and 10, when the body of a 12-year-old girl was found beneath an abandoned car. Kondro was linked to the victim through DNA evidence. Between 1982 and 1996, Kondro was believed to have raped and murdered at least three young girls, the other two being eight-years-old. In 1999, he would plead guilty to two murders in order to escape the death penalty. Law enforcement believed Kondro had other child victims. Kondro died on 5/3/2012. He was 52.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is three pages on two sheets, dated 6/25/2006, and is signed, "Joseph Kondro A.K.A. Tatonka," with a little buffalo drawing. The original mailing envelope is postmarked 6/26/2006. The letter and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
