"Joe Exotic" Joseph Maldonada-Passage photo

This auction is for a photograph of former zoo keeper and Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness star Joseph Maldonado-Passage, better known as Joe Exotic.  Exotic lives up to his namesake! He was the director of Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma, made three runs for elected office (including President of the United States), and rose to national stardom during the 2020 quarantine with the Netflix release of the Tiger King series. The documentary focused on the feud between Exotic and suspected murderer Carole Baskin, another zoo operator. Baskin runs a similar tiger exhibit out of Tampa, FL. Baskin's millionaire husband "mysteriously" disappeared, which was undoubtedly foul play in action. No arrests have ever been made and to date Baskin's husband's body has never been recovered. The series climaxed with Exotic being arrested and for a murder-for-hire plot on Baskin on 9/7/2018 and subsequently convicted of those charges the following year. He was sentence to 22 years imprisonment. The case itself seems very sketchy as most of the characters involved all faced their own legal troubles and took deals in exchange for handing over Exotic or likely committed murder themselves!
