Description

This auction is for acard from deceased Ohio double murderer Jessie James Cowans (10/23/1960 - 9/6/2011). On 8/29/1996, Cowans strangled an elderly woman to death in her home, hanging her from the refrigerator door, while burglarizing her homw. Cowans already had a prior conviction for murder and robbery as a juvenile from 1977. He had paroled in 1989. He would be convicted and sentenced to death on 4/17/1997. Cowans died of natural causes on 9/6/2011. He was 50-years-old.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The card is dated 6/23/2006, initialed, "J," and is signed, "Jessie." The missive is one page, dated 6/23/2006, and is signed, "Jessie." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 6/23/2006. The card, letter, and envelope come inside a protective magazine sleeve with an acid free board and have been stored flat.
