Description

This auction is for a letter from executed Ohio cult leader and mass murderer Jeffery Don Lundgren (5/3/1950 - 10/24/2006). On 4/17/1989, prophet Lundgren killed five fellow cult members, a family with three young children between the ages of 15 and six. He initially fled after the murders. Lundgren, along with 13 others, would be arrested in late 1990. They would all face charges for their respective roles in the murders. Lundgren was sentenced to death. In a last ditch effort, Lundgren filed a lawsuit citing his obesity would make his execution by lethal injection constitute cruel and unusual punishment, which failed. Lundgren was executed on 10/24/2006. He was 56.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The missive is one page and signed, "Jeffery D. Lundgren." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 3/27/2006.
