Description

This auction is for a card from the Tennessee Richland High School shooter James Ellison Rouse. On 11/15/1995, 17-year-old Rouse shot two teachers in the head, killing one. He also shot and killed another student, while trying to murder another faculty member, before being overpowered by a student and teacher. Rouse's apparent motive was related to his grades. He was prosecuted as an adult and received a life sentence. Rouse's friend, Stephen Abbott, who drove him to the school that day, was sentenced for 40 years for his involvement. Rouse's younger brother, Jamie Rouse, would be arrested shortly thereafter for solicitation for commit murder, attempted to get classmates to "finish the job his brother started."

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The birthday styled greeting card is signed, "Jamie." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 7/24/2006.
