Description
This auction is for an envelope from deceased "Moors Murders" serial killer Ian Duncan Stewart - Brady (1/2/1938 - 5/15/2002). Between 1963 and 1965, Brady, with accomplice Myra Hindley, murdered five children in Manchester, England. Their motive was sexual assault. Brady would be arrested on 10/7/1965, Hindley on 10/11/1965. The pair would be charged with three murders, which was the body count they had at the time. They would be convicted and each sentenced to life in prison. Hindley died of natural causes on 11/15/2002. She was 60. Brady died of natural causes on 5/15/2002. He was 79.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: The envelope is postmarked 4/23/2003. The original recipient has scribbled out their last name on the front of the envelope. On the reverse Brady has written his initials and the date 4/21/2003 The envelope comes in a protective comic book sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat.
