Description

This auction is for an envelope from Washington "Green River Killer" Gary Leon Ridgway. Between 1982 and 1998, Gary Ridgway murdered at least four women. He would be arrested on 11/30/2001. As part of a plea agreement, Gary Ridgway agreed to take the wrap for 48 murders. In exchange Gary Ridgway would be spared the death penalty. There was enormous pressure on police to solve the case. There's little doubt that Gary Ridgway was a serial killer and the string of unsolved murders could have been his doing. On 12/18/2003, Gary Ridgway was sentenced to 48 life without parole terms.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The envelope is postmarked 3/19/2021. Ridgway has always been rather reclusive, not usually responding to correspondence solicitation.
