Description

This auction is for a card from Florida serial killer Frederick Levin Waterfield. In the 1980s, Waterfield, along with cousin accomplice David Gore, committed a string of sexual assaults and murders. The pair had been accused of sexual assault prior to any killing. Their first murder was of a mother and daughter together. Gore was an auxiliary sheriff's deputy, giving him an advantage with the law on his side. In the end Gore was convicted of six counts of murder, Waterfield of two. The pair became known as the "Killing Cousins". Gore was sentenced to death and executed on 4/12/2012. Waterfield received life.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The Christmas card is dated 12/8/1997 and signed, "Fred." The missive is one page, dated 12/8/1997, and is signed,"Fred." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 12/9/1997.
