Cynthia Hendy & Cynthia Vigil signed photo PAROLED/VICTIM

This auction is for a letter with photo from Toy-Box Killer accomplice Cynthia Hendy. Although no bodies were ever discovered, it is believed that David Parker Ray used his sound-proofed torture chamber, he referred to as "The Satan's Den," to murder as many as 60 women. Law enforcement dubbed the truck trailer "The Toy Box." Hendy was his then girlfriend and accomplice. Ray would torture his victims with homemade implements, forcing penetration with various objects,  making his victims to perform acts of beastiality, and the like. On 3/22/1999, while supervising one of their "sex slaves," Cynthia Vigil, Hendy managed to lose sight of the keys and Vigil was able to escape after stabbing Hendy in the head with an ice pick, breaking the case. Ray was sentenced to 225 years for a handful of crimes while Hendy received a sentence of 36 years in exchange for her agreed testimony. And while the case did not receive a lot of media attention, largely due to Ray's death 5/28/2002 and the lack of evidence, it's one of America's most interesting cases of extreme sexual sadism. After serving half of her sentence Hendy was released from prison without parole on 7/15/2019.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The prison photograph was mailed out by Cynthia Hendy while she was serving her sentence. It has also been signed by Cynthia Vigil. Vigil's inscription is classic: The frizzy hair is covering up the mark when when I escaped and got her all with the ice pick. You aren't going to see too many of these folks! And once it's gone, it's gone! A photograph of Vigil signing this items will be provided via email.
