This auction is for a double handprint and painting from the condemned California serial killer Charles Ng Chi-Tat. From 1983 to 1985 Ng, with accomplice Leonard Lake, raped, tortured and murdered between 11 and 25 victims. The pair an built a cell to house female victims as sex slaves remote Calaveras County. Lake was arrested in a vehicle they stole from a victim, who was only reported as missing at that point. He poisoned himself while in police custody, but not before randomly naming Ng. Ng ran to Canada, where he was arrested and ultimately extradited back to the United States. Ng managed to delay his trial for six years, costing tax payers millions of dollars. He would convicted of 11 murders and sentenced to death. Ng is currently on death row at San Quentin State Prison awaiting execution.
ITEMS DESCRIPTION: The double handprint set is signed once in the red print, "Charles Ng," and detailed on the reverse, "Attrition, Mixed Media, Charles Ng Palm Print Series." This handsome 9"×12" double handprint was mailed flat, so there are no creases or folds. The piece comes in a protective sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat.
