Aileen Wuornos signed $100 religious tract 4/21/1993 EXECUTED

This auction is for a signed religious tract from executed Florida serial killer Aileen Carol Wuornos (2/29/1956 – 10/9/2002). Wuornos was a female serial killer who killed seven men from 1989 to 1990. She claimed during several trials that the killing were in self-defense, that her victims were would-be attackers and she the victim. Unfortunately for Wuornos, none of the members of any of her juries believed that story and she was sentenced to death on multiple counts. Her case was largely celebrated in the press and continues to be the focus of media coverage. Wuornos was executed 10/9/2002. Her last words were, "Yes, I would just like to say I'm sailing with the rock, and I'll be back, like Independence Day with Jesus. June 6, like the movie. Big mother ship and all, I'll be back, I'll be back." She was 46.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: The $100 bill religious tract measures 2 7/8" × 4 1/8", dated 4/21/1993, and is signed, "Aileen Wuornos." Letter and cards from Wuornos are fairly common, but little gems like this don't come around too often. This is one of the more unique Wuornos pieces you'll find. Wuornos has also printed her name in the inscription. The religious tract comes inside a protective comic book sleeve with an acid free board and has been stored flat.
