Fernando Eros Caro is a convicted serial killer who passed away in San Quentin State Penitentiary in January 2017. Death Row Art Show maintained a pen-pal relationship with Mr. Caro for many years. The quality of his art and attention to detail is remarkable. Fernando only painted for a few select individuals and refused to paint horror characters for a long time. He believed that painting "scary imagery" would dampen his chances of appealing his conviction. Most of Fernando's known paintings are tribal in nature given his Native American heritage. Nearly every Fernando painting that is horror themed is owned by Death Row Art Show.
