This auction is for a short one page letter from former Corcoran, CA, P.H.U. inmate Kenny Calihan. Calihan was recently featured in the book CHARLES MANSON NOW by Marlin Marynick. Stapled to the letter is a copy of a CDCR disciplinary chrono alleging that Calihan is selling Charles Manson memorabilia from the prison. Names of suspected buyers and dates are given in the one page document. A copy of a visiting photo of Calihan with a visitor will accompany the letter along with the original mailing envelope. This letter was mailed to Oakland, Maryland resident Timothy Lax. Lax, 24,
along with his 18-year-old girlfriend were both stabbed to death in June
of 2011. Habitual offender Jeffery Minnick has been arrested and charged
with the double murder. If convicted Minnick could face the death penalty.
Lax was writing a handful of convicted murderers at the time of his death.
He once traveled to Corcoran, California to visit with Kenny Calihan in
Corcoran State Prison. During that visit he met Charles Manson. This is a
very unique piece of true crime memorabilia.
