Up for sale is a commissioned piece by John Wayne Gacy. This is an authentic oil painting numbered #479.
This is the only rendition of the "Red Cap Wizard of Tom Tom." Based on the number, this was painted in late 1987 or early 1988. This board he used is slightly different from the standard Fredrix boards that he liked to use.
Another interesting feature is the remnants of other painting oils on the back of this one. Due to a limit of space in Gacy's cell, he would often stack paintings onto on one another.
The front is signed "John W. Gacy"
I currently have this painting in a gallery frame from Micheals. It is the highest quality frame they offer with gallery glass. I will include the frame for an additional $100 fee. Note when I had these professionally framed, Micheals used spacers. So there is no "touching" from the painting to the glass. There is roughly a quarter inch inbetween.
