| This auction is for a Christmas card from Nebraska mass murderer John Lawrence Lotter. In 1993, with co-defendant Marvin Nissen, Lotter raped a transgendered female to male and later murdered him and two of his friends. The murders would have likely not happened if the sheriff had elected to arrest Nissen and Lotter for the rape, which was reported to authorities. Nissen testified against Lotter in exchange for a lighter sentence. Lotter was sentenced to death, which is the electric chair in the State of Nebraska. Lotter's crimes were the subject of the film Boys Don't Cry. The card is dated 12/25/2005 and signed, "Lawrence." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 12/24/2005.
