This auction is for a letter and small art piece from serial killer Herbert Mullin. Mullin commited a series of murders in the Santa Cruz area between 1972 and 1973 that left 13 people dead. Mullin believed he had to kill people to prevent a massive California earthquake. Mullin was ultimately convicted of 10 murders and sentenced to life imprisonment. The two page letter is on half sheets of paper and dated 4/6/2005. The orignal mailing envelope is postmarked 4/7/2005. The artwork, which appears to be color pencil and pen, is roughy 8.5"X3".
