| This auction is for a lot of handmade greeting cards and a letter from murderer Doil Lane. In 1980 Lane raped and strangle to death an 8-year-old girl in Texas. 10 years later in Kansas he would rape and strangle to death a 9-year-old girl. A tip would lead investigators to Lane who quickly confessed to both murders. A search of Lane's mother's house produced 200 pairs of children's underwear. Lane was sentenced to death in the Texas case and received 40 years in the Kansas case. However, due to Lane's mental retardation his death sentence was commuted to life. There are seven small greeting card in with this letter. I know they look pretty silly, but they are actually constructed like greeting cards with a small sheet of paper glued on the inside of the card where you would write. The letter is two pages on one sheet, dated 3/20/2006, and signed twice, "Doil Lane." The original mailing envelope is postmarked 3/20/2006. Message me with any questions you might have.
